I gave my team the go-ahead to approve a bigger budget for the coming months, even though we don’t quite have the resources to cover it yet — and I need to tell you why.

With this budget, we can run ads about our vision for a New American Dream and counteract Mike Rogers’ lies about me on the air. We can fund more coffee and brewery tour stops to reach Michiganders from the UP to Detroit and everywhere in between. We can expand our digital operation and keep our tools fresh and innovative, like the platform we use to send you emails like this one.

Put plainly, we need to reach as many voters as possible — on the air, at events, and online.
