John,
On the night of September 30, 2025, 300 agents from Customs and Border Protection, the FBI, and ICE raided a Chicago apartment building and arrested 37 immigrants. Dozens of people―including children and U.S. citizens―were zip-tied and detained for several hours.1
A federal judge later ruled that ICE illegally detained hundreds without warrants or probable cause, violating a court order.
The apps and tools that could have documented what agents did and helped hold them accountable for their actions? Gone. Deleted from the app stores just days earlier―at Trump's request.
Apple ripped ICEBlock from the App Store.2 Google pulled Red Dot.3 The largest apps that let people document ICE activity and warn their neighbors were gone. Legally protected speech was removed overnight at the administration's request.
This is censorship by the federal government with corporations bowing to political pressure.
Send an email to the CEOs of Apple and Google right now demanding they end all contracts with ICE and Customs and Border Protection and restore apps that allow people to document ICE’s abuses and hold them accountable.

Apple and Google didn’t just bow to political pressure; through their contracts with ICE and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), they are profiting from the abuses carried out by the Department of Homeland Security, of which ICE and CBP are a part.4 They build the tools that track immigrants, then silence the tools that hold our government accountable.
All of this is part of a larger pattern of tech companies trying to curry favor with the Trump administration even before the inauguration, but communities are fighting back. They’re using platforms like ResistMap, which is built outside the app stores and beyond corporate reach.
But no one should have to route around corporate censorship to document government abuse.
Send a direct message demanding that Apple and Google terminate all contracts with ICE and CBP and publicly commit to protecting the right to document and share information about law enforcement activity.
Thank you for all you do,
