The Lincoln Project

Friend,

What’s the loudest, most concrete thing Trump has established in the last year that defines his second term?

Recruiting a bunch of Proud Boys for ICE and sending them on racially-targeted raids, right?

Well, from the looks of it, the thing that most defines the Donald Trump sequel is wildly unpopular. Even amongst his own base.

Majority disapproves of ICE in poll released after Minneapolis
shooting

Not a big shocker here.

The most unpopular president we’ve ever seen is doing stuff that’s super unpopular.

The easy fix for this? All Trump has to do is call off his goons in masks, and this all goes away for him. But what we have to remember is that Trump doesn’t listen to the people he’s supposed to be serving. Ever.

When America made it clear that tariffs raise prices for the consumer, Trump told us to piss off.

When everybody told Trump to not get rid of the ACA unless he had a backup plan, Trump made the military go without paychecks for a month.

When Trump’s own advisors told him an investigation into the sitting Fed chair would tank the stock market, he said screw the people, and went for his petty revenge.

So believe us, no matter how unpopular something is, he will stick with it.

So, how do we get the “president” to start listening to the American people? We grow the movement, get louder, and make Trump realize how outnumbered he is.

If we’re going to turn things around and get America back on track, we have to make this winning coalition even larger. Pitch in so we can spread our message further and grow the movement >>
