SIGN NOW: Three Minnesota federal prosecutors just quit after senior DOJ officials pushed them to investigate Renee Nicole Good’s widow. Thank them for doing what’s right >>
John,
Right now, Trump’s Department of Justice (DOJ) is dragging its feet in the investigation of the officer who shot Renee Nicole Good – and is instead rushing to investigate her widow in a desperate attempt to substantiate his administration’s baseless smears. [1]
It’s absolutely backwards – the government that’s responsible for keeping us safe is putting us in danger, then trying to shield themselves from accountability and convince us their victim had it coming.
So, rather than participating in this politically-motivated attack on a grieving family, three federal prosecutors in Minnesota walked away and resigned this afternoon. [2]
That takes courage – and it’s an example we should all try to follow right now.
This kind of integrity shouldn’t be exceptional. It should be the norm. These prosecutors are doing what history demands of all of us right now: speaking up for what’s right.

These three prosecutors aren’t alone. In recent days, several civil rights lawyers at the DOJ resigned in protest after Trump loyalists blocked them from investigating Good’s killing. [3]
Moments like this test our democracy. The past couple of weeks have been difficult – but people across the country, including inside our government, are refusing to stay silent.
Now more than ever, it’s important to thank civil servants for refusing to be complicit in this administration’s injustices. We hope you’ll join us in taking action today.

Thanks for all you do,
