Folks, Governor Reynolds is giving a speech tonight on the “condition” of Iowa.

My bingo card is chock full of partisan talking points that are meant to divide us, plus nonsensical claims about how strong our state is right now.

But that’s not the reality that Iowa families are living in, John. As our economy is among the worst in the country, folks are worried about their jobs, health care, and putting food on the table.

While it would be nice to hear Governor Reynolds acknowledge the challenges Iowans are facing and talk about serious solutions, the truth is I’m not holding my breath.

Instead, my team is working tirelessly to get our Iowa-first message in front of folks across the state so we can finally elect a governor who will always put the Hawkeye State first.
