Last Tuesday, on the five-year anniversary of the January 6th Capitol Attack, I testified before Congress to set the record straight about what really happened that terrible day.

I described Donald Trump’s 187 minutes of inaction as he lounged in the White House dining room, watching the violence unfold.

I commended the bravery of law enforcement who defended us that day, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

I explained that the true legacy of January 6th was the strength and resilience of our democracy.

Now, I’d like to explain why I chose to testify in the first place.

I testified because I won’t allow the appalling cover-up and gaslighting about the events of January 6th to succeed.

I testified because I’m a patriot, a veteran, a public servant, and a parent who wants my daughter to know her mom stood firm in the truth.

I testified because I’ve been on the front lines of this fight since January 6th, 2021, and I won’t surrender until the perpetrators face appropriate consequences.

To do that, we need a no-nonsense House majority to ensure justice is served. So, at this critical moment for our country, will you chip in $5, $15, or whatever you can to help me flip VA-02 and resume my fight on Capitol Hill?
