Dear John,
New Markets Tax Credits [[link removed]] (NMTCs) provide flexible, upfront capital that housing providers can use to address market and affordability gaps, scale up development, and address individual project needs. While NMTCs are sometimes viewed as too complicated, too expensive, or only accessible for very large projects, many shared equity programs have successfully used them for years — and you can, too.
In this webinar, we’ll cover the basics of how NMTCs and homeownership projects work well together, as well as the current state of the NMTC program and what we can expect going forward. Leading the conversation will be Smith NMTC Associates, LLC [[link removed]], a firm that has structured and facilitated dozens of transactions nationwide to deploy over $900M in NMTCs, including for community land trust and shared equity projects.
Please note that this webinar will be offered on two dates: February 10th and February 17th. The content will be the same for both sessions, so you only need to attend one.
Target Audience:
This webinar is for community land trusts, shared equity programs, and other nonprofit or mission-driven housing providers interested in using NMTCs for homeownership projects. Whether you have prior NMTC experience or not, we invite you to join us.
