Don’t get it twisted: Trump’s military action in Venezuela isn’t about stopping drugs from coming into the United States. It’s about the oil!
Donald Trump says the U.S. is taking over Venezuela crude oil “indefinitely.” And early estimates suggest they could make $2.5 billion. This is just another gift to Trump’s Big Oil buddies who made a billion-dollar deal to help him become President again.
Our SEEC Members aren’t waiting to find out what happens next.
SEEC Vice Chair Rep. Mike Levin announced he will be introducing new legislation to protect American taxpayer money from being used in Venezuela.
He said, “The administration is all about making money for the oil executives who helped get President Trump elected. Taxpayers should not be on the hook for risky foreign oil projects that boost big oil profits and won’t lower costs at home.”
