Hello –

I have an important question to ask you as we get closer to our mid-January deadline this week. I hope you’ll give me a second to explain why this is so important.

As you might know, I didn’t take the usual path to public office.

I worked as a geologist and then became a brewer and a small business owner whose brewhub helped revitalize a neglected warehouse district in Denver.

Then, I ran for mayor, then governor, and eventually senator, creating jobs and expanding health care right here in Colorado — because getting things done that mattered to people has always been my top priority.

It’s not easy to bring folks together or find common ground with all the bickering and partisanship in Washington nowadays. But the only way we can stand up to the cruelest parts of Trump’s agenda is by standing together and winning this election the right way.

The reality is National Republicans have a whole lot more money at their disposal to try and influence our elections. I’m not in this to earn favors from corporations or the ultra-wealthy – I’m in the United States Senate to serve YOU. That’s why this campaign runs on YOUR support, not theirs. And it’s why we don’t take a dime from corporate PACs either.

So, as we approach our mid-January deadline, it’s important that my team sees that we still have a strong level of grassroots enthusiasm backing us. And we’d like to see as many grassroots donors as possible in the next few days.
