We are on the course towards a generational transformation in Texas politics, friend. And yes, that sounds dramatic, but it’s true.

You can feel it at events. You can hear it in conversations at the doors. You can see it on the lists of new volunteer sign-ups that come from Young Dems and local party meetings across the state.

There is palpable momentum, and thank goodness for that because we’re chasing two important deadlines in a matter of weeks: 1. Saturday, January 31 , is Taylor Rehmet’s Special Election to flip a seat blue in Tarrant County
2.
3. Monday, February 2 , is the FINAL DAY to register to vote for the upcoming primary in March.

So you can imagine we’re busy around here! And we could use some help making sure we’re getting it done this month. Can we count on you?Countdown clock to Jan 31. [[link removed]]

Our organizing team is devoting all of our time, talent, and resources to registering brand new voters. We can stretch your $25 contribution very far this time of the year because it’ll go toward organizing activities like: [[link removed]] * Talking to high school seniors who might have turned 18 and don’t know how to register
*
* Helping seniors with their vote-by-mail ballots
*
* Having conversations about voting plans. These convos are so everyone knows where and when they’re going to vote — make sure to double check with your friends!

You might be like: Hey Katy, talking to nice folks from all generations, boomers, and gen alpha or z, and all of my friends are free for me. Why would all of that cost money for y’all?

And, honestly, it’s a good question. I, along with dozens of other organizing leaders across Texas, train hundreds of volunteers, precinct captains, and campus organizers on research-based tactics on how to have these conversations respectfully, effectively, and efficiently. We even print out materials in multiple languages to help our immigrant neighbors understand the voting process.

All of these things do cost a pretty penny! When every $10 donation pays for 20 vote-by-mail applications to Texas Democrats over age 65, just think about what $25 from even just a few dozen folks like you could do. [[link removed]]

I hope you’ll chip in today: [link removed] [[link removed]]

Just a couple more days left!

P.S. You can also check your own registration and make sure you’re prepared for all the big elections coming up. February 2 is right around the corner, so be sure you’re ready to GOTV by checking your registration today! [[link removed]]
We are the Texas Dems. We're protecting Texans from Republican extremists and their unending stream of misinformation statewide. Let's be clear, Texas Republicans have drawn district lines to choose the voters they want, and D.C. Republicans have poured tens of millions of dollars in dark money into Texas. We are on the front lines of pushing back against their influence with voters.
Taking Texas back from extremist Republicans is going to take all of us. Will you chip in now to help us elect Democrats who will work hard to represent all Texans, and not just the wealthy few? [[link removed]]
