TELL THE U.S. SENATE: After the Senate voted 52 - 47 to advance a bipartisan resolution to stop Trump's illegal war on Venezuela, Trump claimed that he canceled a second wave of airstrikes. The final vote in the Senate is tomorrow and we must ensure that the slim majority holds to stop Trump's military aggression. Sign the petition: Vote Yes to block Trump's unconstitutional war on Venezuela tomorrow!

A bipartisan majority in the Senate voted on a procedural measure 52 - 47 last week to stop Trump's war on Venezuela. The final vote on the war powers resolution in the Senate is tomorrow.

The bipartisan vote marked a rare and historic rebuke of Trump's unilateral military aggression.1 Trump said after the vote that he canceled a second wave of strikes against Venezuela.2 But with only a slim majority in favor of stopping Trump's war, and Trump placing pressure on Republicans who voted against him, it's critical that we send a wave of messages to our Senators urging them to vote Yes again.

Sign the petition: Vote Yes tomorrow on final passage of the war powers resolution to stop Trump's war on Venezuela!

This vote is about checking Trump's war powers in Venezuela and sending Trump a message that Congress opposes unconstitutional strikes against the countries that he has recklessly threatened: Iran, Cuba, Mexico, Denmark, and Colombia.

Left unchecked, Trump will use the U.S. military against anyone he sees as an adversary. Trump even antagonized Russia when U.S. forces seized a Venezuelan oil tanker sailing under the Russian flag.3 Trump seized yet another oil tanker from Venezuela on Friday.4

Trump is ramping up pressure against GOP Senators who defied him, saying they should be “ashamed.”5 The 52-vote majority to advance the war powers resolution last week could fall apart tomorrow if they don’t hear a wave of continued support from their constituents.

Sign the petition: Urge your Senators to end Trump's military aggression in Venezuela and around the world.

Thanks for taking action,
