RFK Jr.'s leadership of the Department of Health and Human Services has been nothing short of a catastrophic failure – but allow me to explain why:

* He's fired thousands of health care workers, like the director of the CDC.


* He's endangered the future of Medicaid, Medicare and Obamacare and with them, affordable access to health care for tens of millions of people.


* He's gutted federal grants for medical research and set back lifesaving cures by decades.


* He's limited access to COVID-19 vaccines and canceled funding that helps states prepare for future pandemics.


* And now, he's making our kids susceptible to SIX more life-threatening diseases – and creating more confusion for parents, more chaos for medical providers and more risk in our schools in turn.


But he never should've been appointed in the first place. And every day he's allowed to stay in this role, his incompetence puts Colorado's kids more at risk. That's why I tore into him at his last Finance Committee hearing for endangering lives with his BS conspiracy theories and junk science. ↙︎

But since my Senate Republican colleagues keep refusing to stand up to the Trump administration, we'll need an even bigger groundswell of public outcry to push the president to finally remove him from office.
