VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump faces revolt from his own party
America's wannabe dictator is now contending with a public revolt against him from members of his own party. It would seem Donald has finally overplayed his hand with an unprecedented attack on the Federal Reserve and threats to pursue criminal charges against its chairman, Jerome Powell, for daring to set monetary policy free from partisan political influence. For Republicans who've rarely dared to publicly challenge the president before, this was apparently a bridge too far. Brian Tyler Cohen discusses the ramifications of Trump's latest gambit and how attempts by the president to juice the economy to improve his electoral prospects in the upcoming midterms could spell economic disaster for the rest of us.

Trump privately complaining about "weak," "ineffective" Pam Bondi, according to Wall Street Journal report
For a fella who can't stop bragging about his own purported genius and knack for constantly surrounding himself with the "best people," Donald sure has a remarkable track record of tapping incompetent sycophants who eventually shit the bed and let him down. According to The Wall Street Journal, an increasingly disgruntled Trump has privately complained to aides that Attorney General Pam Bondi has been "weak" and "ineffective" at imposing his agenda — namely prosecuting his many, many political foes for daring to stand up to him. The wannabe dictator is reportedly considering appointing special counsels at the DOJ to pick up the slack and weaponize the agency to more aggressively do his bidding.

Beloved Alaskan Mary Peltola upends the race for the US Senate with new campaign announcement
Mary Peltola for Alaska: Congresswoman Mary Peltola sent shockwaves through American politics when she won the only congressional seat in deep-red Alaska — now she’s running for the US Senate seat held by MAGA millionaire Dan Sullivan. With his approval rating in the dumpster at just 37%, a proven winner like Peltola with an Alaska First platform of “fish, family, and freedom” is just the candidate we need to flip this critical seat and retake the Senate. Will you chip in to help jump-start her campaign?
Top DOJ officials quit after their division refused to probe Minnesota ICE shooting
At least four top officials in the DOJ division that investigates police killings have resigned in protest after Trump's appointee, the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon, refused to investigate the murder of Renee Good by ICE agent Jonathan Ross. The chief of the section, the principal deputy chief, deputy chief, and acting deputy chief have all called it quits in protest after they saw their agency participate in the unwarranted exoneration of a killer who is very clearly guilty of manslaughter at the least, if not outright murder. It's a grim reminder that there is no crime too heinous for the Trump regime to sweep under the rug — and the number of people in the MAGA cult leader's government who still have some semblance of integrity is dwindling by the day.

Senator Mark Kelly sues Pentagon and Sec. Hegseth over censure retaliation for protected speech
Astronaut, decorated war veteran, and United States Senator Mark Kelly has not spent his entire adult life serving his country to engage in petty child's play with a supremely unfit louse in waaay over his head at the Pentagon. In a seven-count complaint filed in federal court, Kelly accused the Department of Defense and Secretary of War Crimes Pete Hegseth of attempting to unlawfully silence a sitting member of Congress for protected political speech, an unprecedented effort by the executive branch to punish a lawmaker for expressing views the government disfavors. The lawsuit was filed one week after Hegseth announced that the Pentagon would move to cut Kelly’s military retirement pay following the senator’s participation in a video message advising US service members of their constitutional right to refuse patently illegal orders. Kelly has maintained that the video was lawful and consistent with long-standing protections afforded to members of Congress. Hegseth has maintained that his panties are still fully in a bunch and that Kelly is a stinky poopy head.

Trump orders Keystone Kash to purge "total scum" FBI agents in Truth Social screed
America's wannabe dictator is thumb-smashing orders on his social media platform, airing public daily grievances of one kind or another without a moment's pause for the most basic of inquiries — a perpetually enraged Karen seemingly unaware that he is the manager. Case in point: after reading an article posted by a far-right "news" outlet Sunday night recycling old claims of liberal bias in the FBI, Trump barked at Director Kash Patel — on Truth Social, mind you — to kick out the "total Scum" in the agency who helped launch the investigation into Donald's clear and obvious attempts to overturn the 2020 election. "These FBI Agents are total Scum... Kash better get them out NOW!" A servile Patel responded a short while later — again, via Truth Social — "Thank you Mr. President. Under your leadership, this FBI found the corrupt actors and terminated their employment last year." An administration communicating and conducting policy like incels venting on an internet message board. May the gods helps us.
Minneapolis Fox affiliate reminds viewers that ICE cannot legally barge into homes without a warrant signed by a judge
When they are under unrelenting assault by a fascist administration with zero regard for the written law, it's crucial to know your constitutional rights. Kudos to FOX9 KMSP anchor Kelcey Carlson, who transmitted a timely reminder from Minneapolis officials about our collective Fourth Amendment rights, namely that people are under no obligation to let law enforcement into their homes if no judicial warrant is presented. Carlson explained, "And in the wake of the shooting of Renee Good, the city of Minneapolis is sharing a reminder of your rights if ICE does come to your door. According to the city, ICE needs a judge-signed warrant with your name and address to come inside. Also, you can ask the agent to show you the warrant through the window or under the door. And if there is not a valid warrant, you have the right to keep your door closed." This after JD Vance vowed ICE goons would go "door to door" to hunt down and apprehend alleged undocumented immigrants. None of this is normal, folks; we must continue to resist.

DOJ fires prosecutor who refused to lead case against James Comey
Robert McBride of the US attorney’s office for the Eastern District of Virginia was fired after he told DOJ officials he could not take on the case to re-indicted former FBI Director James Comey, throwing the beleaguered office into further chaos. Comey's initial indictment, you may recall, was thrown out because Lindsey Halligan, the former insurance attorney with nearly no prosecutorial experience hand-picked by Trump to run the office like his own personal law firm, was unlawfully appointed. While every day feels like a fresh new hell in the age of Trump, we can at least take some comfort in knowing that astonishing incompetence is still a defining hallmark of this administration. It's hard to believe, but things could actually be so much worse.
US military used aircraft disguised as civilian plane in first attack on alleged drug boat, a war crime known as "perfidy"
It will surely surprise you to learn that Secretary of War Crimes Pete Hegseth has been accused of even more high seas war criming than previously known. The US military used a secret aircraft painted to look like a civilian plane to carry out its first strike against an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean last September. Such tactics, retired Maj. Gen. Steven J. Lepper, former deputy judge advocate general for the US Air Force, could constitute the crime of "perfidy," which prohibits combatants from pretending to be civilians to trick their enemies. "Shielding your identity is an element of perfidy," he said. "If the aircraft flying above is not identifiable as a combatant aircraft, it should not be engaged in combatant activity." Shocking.
Former NYC Mayor Eric Adams launches cryptocurrency to "fight antisemitism," immediately scams investors out of millions
The eccentric and wildly crooked Eric Adams is once again back on his bullshit, this time with an "official" New York City memecoin that he promised would somehow fight "antisemitism" and "anti-Americanism" — through an unnamed nonprofit that he did not feel the need to share details about. Well, it went almost exactly as you expected: the coin launched, it skyrocketed in value, and then a wallet linked to the coin's developer pulled $2.5 million in US dollar liquidity just HALF AN HOUR later, causing the coin's value to plummet and leaving its investors with worthless fake money. It's your classic rug-pull situation that crypto scams are infamous for, but given Adams' extensive criminal history, everyone reallllly should have seen this coming. We would like to extend an offer to those scammed a special discount on our newly launched Wallet Inspector Token. Send any dollar amount you wish to @weseriouslycannotbelievepeoplekeepfallingforthisshit to learn more on how to protect your crypto assets!
Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino says "hat's off" to ICE agent who killed Renee Good
There simply is no bottom with Trump's deplorable MAGA ghouls; they relish in the abject cruelty and continually find new ways to celebrate their own indecency. Shame on all of them and their amoral cult leader. A mother is dead, her children's lives shattered, and THIS is Bovino's take?
