Rochelle Bilal, the head of the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office, has publicly claimed that ICE is a “fake” law enforcement agency and even threatened to arrest federal agents for carrying out lawful immigration operations.
Her words were unmistakable:
“You don’t want this smoke. Because we will bring it to you.”
That is a blatant threat against our ICE officers.
ICE officers are sworn law enforcement professionals doing a difficult and often dangerous job to enforce federal law and keep our communities safe. They deserve respect, not threats from deranged local officials.
