The company has been one of our biggest funders over the past three years, giving over £1,000,000 in 2024. Google’s support helped us build some of the best AI tools for fact checking in the world. But things have now changed.

Fact checking has never seen a threat like this. Google's decision is linked to a dangerous new narrative, fuelled by the US government's stance, attacking fact checking, equating it with censorship, and threatening all it stands for. 

With Google funding gone, we are urgently refocussing our fundraising efforts for the year ahead. A growing number of concerned supporters are setting up monthly Direct Debits and these are becoming ever more important to our financial sustainability. Can you join them today?
