Freedom for animals can only become a reality when we stand together, and in 2025, you stood with us against the exploitative industries who want to keep animals confined and suffering.

Here are just some of the amazing achievements you helped make possible in 2025:

  • Our Festive Events campaign continued to push events towards compassionate, animal-free alternatives! 
  • Free the Fifteen penguins gained strength through protests, coalition-building, and dedicated supporter action.
  • We launched the Tether and Torment II video, exposing the realities behind bird of prey centres and paving the way for our upcoming report.
  • Ongoing campaigns connected and united activists across the UK and Ireland. 
  • We reached thousands of people on social media, raising awareness and inspiring action for animals held captive.
None of this would have happened without you!

This is McCoy, a magnificent bald eagle trapped in captivity.
We first met him during an investigation last year. Much of his life is spent tied to this post, unable to fly. I could see him reacting to sounds above him, instinctively wanting to soar - but he is tethered to the ground.
For a bird born to fly, this cruel confinement causes immense fear and distress.
With your support, we will keep fighting for McCoy and every bird suffering like him.
