John,
This morning, the Supreme Court will consider two major trans sports cases. The rulings in these cases have the potential to impact trans youth athletes across the country. No matter what happens in court today, we are here to affirm: ALL trans students deserve a chance to play sports with their peers.
All trans youth deserve to feel accepted, included, and celebrated.
A4TE is proud to have submitted an amicus brief in both cases urging the court to uphold trans students’ right to participate in school sports. Our brief explores the history of anti-LGBTQ+ laws and discrimination against trans people in the United States. You can read the brief here! [[link removed]]
A4TE will also be attending a rally on the steps of the Supreme Court this morning, starting at 10:00 AM EST! Sign up to attend the rally here. [[link removed]]
We are honored to have played a role in this case by bringing LGBTQ+ history and trans expertise into the Supreme Court. We will never stop fighting for the rights of trans youth to be themselves everywhere—including on the field!
