What is Happening in Iran, Today

For over two weeks, protesters have defiantly and courageously defied the Islamic Republic of Iran, and have been out on the streets. There has been an internet blackout, but as far as we know hundreds of innocent protesters have been killed. Reports indicate that indicate that over 10, 600 of these demonstrators have been detained. The speaker of the Majlis, the Iranian Parliament has warned that if the US were to attack, both Israel and US shipping lanes and military bases in the region would become “legitimate targets”.

This is history in the making. Please be informed by Dr. Mordechai Kedar.

About Our Speaker: Dr. Mordechai Kedar has been affiliated with Bar Ilan University, where he received his B.A. and Ph.D. He has also been affiliated with the Begin-Sadat Center. Dr. Kedar served for 25 years in IDF military intelligence, specializing in Syria, Arab political discourse, Arab mass media, Islamic groups and Israeli Arabs. He is an expert on the Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah and other radical Islamic elements.

Lt.-Col. (res.) Dr. Mordechai Kedar is a distinguished professor of Arabic & Middle East literature and culture at Israel’s Bar Ilan University and a research associate at the University’s Begin-Sadat (BESA) Center for Strategic Studies. Dr. Kedar is a 25-year veteran of IDF Military Intelligence.

Dr. Kedar is a sought-after lecturer in Israel and abroad and his extensive experience on intelligence, counterterrorism and Arab and Middle East affairs coupled with his charisma and intelligence makes every encounter fascinating and his geo-strategic analysis captivating. Dr. Kedar has frequently appeared on Israel’s television news networks as well as the Arabic-language Al Jazeera television network.
