John, no one should have to decide between putting food on the table and paying rent on time. Yet, that is the reality for far too many families.

Instead of serving the interests of the American people, the Trump administration and its MAGA allies would rather protect the ultra-rich. Costs are rising, but wages aren't, and I refuse to standby watching families fall deeper into debt and struggle.

That’s why I introduced the American Affordability Act, to decrease costs for Americans across the board by lowering housing, energy, healthcare, childcare, and education costs.

• Increases childcare and caregiving support through expanding the Child Tax Credit
• Lowers healthcare costs by expanding ACA premium credits and Medicaid support
• Reduces utility bills by restoring clean energy incentives
• Provides tax relief for work and education expenses
