Team,
It's been a while since we gave out a full update of our campaign. Since we officially launched Anthony's re-election campaign, we have grown our momentum significantly and are headed full-speed toward November. I have a few updates to share with you as we are nearing 100 days from Election Day.
I hope you have a second to read through, but in case you don't, please consider helping us fortify our last four months by sending in a grassroots donation. This race is heating up, and we could really use your support today. >>
Now to our updates!
Fighting for Upstate New York Priorities in Congress
The challenges facing Upstate New York are bigger than ever before, and hardworking families need someone who will have their back in Washington and bring results back home. That is exactly what Anthony is doing in Congress. Over the past few months, Anthony has:
-
Fought to pass the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Flexibility Act, which was signed by the President, to provide relief to more Upstate New York’s small businesses and keep workers on the payroll as the economy reopens
-
Through the PPP, delivered nearly $650 million in critical support and COVID-19 relief funds.
-
Helped introduce the Paycheck Protection for Producers Act to expand critical resources to help more family farms navigate through the coronavirus pandemic
-
Joined a roundtable with inner-city community leaders to hear about their experiences with health care and broadband disparities, the coronavirus pandemic, law enforcement reform, and more.
Anthony has spent every moment of his first term in Congress fighting for the priorities of our district’s working families and working with both sides to address the challenges facing NY-22. He will partner with anyone, any time, to solve the issues Upstate New Yorkers care about most -- and he’s just getting started!
On the Campaign Trail
DC special interests are funding multi-million dollar attack ads right as we speak. So now more than ever, it is critical that Anthony’s message resonates and that the district knows the truth about the work he is doing in Congress.
Earlier this week we launched our first TV ad of the general election to fight back against these ads. If you haven't had a chance to see it check it out and if you are able help us keep it on the airwaves by chipping in a donation!
For Anthony, delivering results doesn’t just mean addressing the issues we’re currently facing -- it means setting Upstate New York up for success for generations to come. Earlier this month Anthony joined New York's Chapter of Future Farmers of America as they discussed ways to improve things for the farmers of tomorrow.
Listen: The momentum is on our side, team. And it's important that we keep up the pressure this election cycle, because our priorities are on the line. Our hardworking and dedicated volunteers have been critical to getting us across the finish line, and we’re always looking for more! The State of the Race
One month ago, Republicans nominated Claudia Tenney as the GOP nominee to take back this seat and get Anthony out of office. Outside special interest groups have already committed $5.5 MILLION in attack ads against our campaign, making Anthony one of the most vulnerable incumbents in Congress.
If 2018 is any sign of what’s to come, we expect outside spending to double -- or even TRIPLE -- before Election Day. That’s why The Washington Post named NY-22 one of the districts most likely to flip parties this November.
Team, we are nearing 100 days out from Election Day. Can we count on you to chip in a grassroots donation so we can keep giving Upstate New Yorkers a voice in Congress?
Elections are not a spectator sport, and so any way you can join us on the frontlines of this race is so appreciated. Thank you for all you do to keep our grassroots movement strong! We couldn't do this without you, team.
