Families here in Staten Island and Southern Brooklyn are doing everything right, yet it feels like it’s getting harder just to keep up. Groceries cost more. Utilities are higher. Rent and mortgages keep climbing, and paychecks are not stretching any further.
Affordability isn’t an abstract issue. It’s what parents think about at the kitchen table and what seniors worry about when bills arrive. We need leadership that takes those concerns seriously and fights to lower costs for working families.
