John,
Last week, Renee Nicole Good was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. Sadly, what happened to Good isn’t an aberration.
In Chicago, an ICE officer shot and killed Silverio Villegas González at a traffic stop. Others have been killed while fleeing ICE raids, such as California farmworker Jaime Alanís Garcia, who fell from a greenhouse roof, and Roberto Carlos Montoya Valdez, who was struck by a car while running across a freeway as agents raided a Home Depot.
2025 was the deadliest year for ICE in two decades, with 32 people dying while in ICE custody.1
This lawlessness needs to end. Congress funds ICE, and Congress must hold ICE accountable. Send a direct message demanding Congress investigate ICE-related deaths now.

Conditions in ICE detention centers have been described as “inhumane,” with detainees cramped in small rooms, served rotting food, and forced to use one toilet for 30-40 men.2 The facilities also frequently don’t follow their own published standards for health care, leading to detainees not receiving the correct medicine or proper care, which has led to deaths.3
ICE has established a pattern of violence and brutal use of force―and people are dying as a result.
Congress created ICE. Congress funds ICE. Congress has a responsibility to subpoena evidence, require testimony under oath, and conduct a full investigation to hold ICE accountable.
Join us in calling on Congress to conduct investigations into ICE-related deaths now.
Thank you for all you do,
