This week, Donald Trump’s new January 6th Subcommittee will hold its first hearing and begin its attempt to erase the truth about what happened in 2021.

This comes after Trump continued to push lies about the attack on the Capitol on the anniversary of this solemn day.

This propaganda is a disgraceful attack on the hard work that my colleagues and I did on the original January 6th Committee.

Since retaking office, Donald Trump has done everything in his power to change the narrative about January 6th to fit his agenda. 

He pardoned 1,600 rioters, releasing criminals who have since committed crimes including kidnapping, burglary, and making death threats against elected officials.

On last week’s anniversary, he published new, blatantly false propaganda about the attacks online while welcoming rioters back to DC with open arms.

And now, the new January 6th Committee established under his command is set to begin their work to whitewash history and defend the day’s insurrectionists.
