Plaza of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament

Sacramento, CA

Join California's Bishops and Catholics from throughout the state for a day of prayer, worship, and advocacy.

On the Feast Day of the Annunciation, Catholics from across California will gather at the State Capitol to ignite a faith that serves—a faith rooted in prayer, alive in community, and expressed through action for the common good.

Catholics at the Capitol is a day to unite clergy and laity, families and individuals, in worship and public witness. As Mary said yes to God’s call at the Annunciation, we come together to renew our own yes: to serve our neighbors, to uplift human dignity, and to bring faith into the public square with humility and hope.

Throughout the day, participants will take part in:

A public rally calling us to faithful service

A prayerful Rosary procession around the Capitol, lifting up our state and its leaders

The celebration of Holy Mass, grounding our advocacy in worship

Drop-in visits with legislative offices, offering a respectful, faith-filled presence on issues that affect our communities.

On this sacred feast day, we remember that Mary appears to the world in many forms—Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of La Vang, Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of Fatima—yet her call is always the same: to trust God and to serve with love. As a mother to all, she blesses all, and all are welcome to participate in this day of prayer and unity.

Whether you come to pray, to walk, to worship, or to advocate, your presence helps ignite a faith that serves—one that transforms hearts and shapes a more just and compassionate society.

Come as you are. Bring your faith. Serve with hope.

Join us on March 25, 2026, and help light the way forward together!
