Mitch isn’t looking out for us—just for himself.

Team, in his latest TV ad, Mitch’s campaign claims he’s “always looking out for the little guy.”

(We’ll pause to let you finish laughing.)

The truth, of course, is the “little guy” has always come last with Mitch. In fact, tomorrow, the final federal unemployment pandemic relief checks will be mailed out—the benefits so many suddenly out-of-work Americans have relied on to afford rent, medicine and food during this crisis run out at the end of the month. And Mitch is adamantly against sending additional unemployment help.

And that’s just what’s happening right now. Remember, this is the guy who bailed out Wall Street with $700 billion of taxpayer money and fought to pass $170 billion in tax breaks for the top 1% of earners in this country. He’s the guy who created a slush fund for bankers in the COVID-19 emergency relief bill and who held that bill up until he could ensure his Big Pharma friends could profit from the crisis.

He’s the guy stopping the minimum wage from going up. And he’s also tried over and over again to strip health coverage from millions of Americans.

And for all that “looking out for the little guy,” Mitch’s net worth happens to have increased by as much as $57 million since he took office. Funny how that works.

Look, everybody knows Mitch isn’t looking out for anyone but himself—and it’s our job to make sure every voter knows it. Before our monthly fundraising deadline, let’s show what a grassroots team of “little” guys and gals can do—chip in whatever you can today.
