Hey John, my name is Alex. I’m running against entrenched incumbent Richard Neal in MA-01. I’m proud to be a Justice Democrat.
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to you, share a personal story, and then ask you to help me defeat Richard Neal in just 7 weeks.
Earlier this year, we lost my brother after a long struggle with opioid addiction. Doug was a good man, but he fell through the cracks of our cruel health care system. Too many families in western Mass — and across the country — know that same pain. I’m running for Congress to fight for people like my brother.
This week, we premiered our movement’s first TV ad detailing my brother’s story and how it’s stories like his that have driven me to be a champion for Medicare for All. You can check out the ad below:
John, I’m going to level with you: TV ads are not cheap. But they are a proven method of reaching new supporters and spreading our message. We need to raise $100,000 in the next 7 days in order to keep running this TV ad.
Will you split a $3 contribution with my campaign right now to help us keep this ad on the air?
Richard Neal continues to pour thousands of dollars a day from his corporate war chest into ads. He doesn’t support Medicare for All. He wants to keep our current, for-profit health care system in place that leaves people like my brother behind.
Jamaal Bowman defeated Eliot Engel just last month. In 2020 we’re building change, one congressional district at a time. Jamaal’s win is a message to corporate Democrats that a new generation of leadership is here and that the Washington status quo ends with us.
Thank you in advance for stepping up today.
— Alex
