I joined Minnesotans at a vigil for Renee Good last week. Neighbors and strangers alike stood together in peace and love, grieving a life lost far too soon.

We honor Renee by caring for one another and by continuing the work to ensure accountability and justice.

Please take a moment to read Becca Good’s words and hear about the kind, loving person her wife, Renee, was to everyone who knew her.

Yet shockingly, Donald Trump and his MAGA allies are trying to justify Renee Good’s killing by defaming her character and flooding the zone with rhetoric meant to make her death seem acceptable.

Let me be clear: this shameless cruelty is the opposite of who Renee was and the society she fought for. It is the opposite of who we are as Minnesotans. And it will not derail us in our quest for justice.
