Speakers:
Lisa Graves is the Executive Director of True North Research and co-founded Court Accountability/Action, as well as the President of the Board of the Center for Media and Democracy and a Trustee for the Park Foundation. In 2011, she launched the award-winning investigation ALECexposed.org, and her research and analysis have been cited in numerous books, TV news programs, podcasts, newspapers, and magazines. Lisa is the author of the new book, Without Precedent: How Chief Justice Roberts and His Accomplices Rewrote the Constitution and Dismantled Our Rights.
Tom Moore is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress (CAP) and serves on CAP’s Democracy Policy team, focusing on democracy reform and campaign finance. In previous lives, he served as counsel and chief of staff to Federal Election Commission Chair Ellen L. Weintraub and served as a litigator, journalist, and elected local official. He is the architect of CAP’s Corporate Power Reset, which neutralizes Citizens United by redefining corporate powers under state law.
Scot Nakagawa is the co-founder and Executive Director of 22nd Century Initiative. He has served as an organizer, political strategist, and social movement analyst in the struggle against authoritarianism and for equitable and inclusive democracy since 1988, and he has worked with myriad national organizations and political campaigns to limit the power and influence of racist, antisemitic, patriarchal, and religious fundamentalist leaders and groups.
