I know how it goes, friend: a lot of political emails like these tend to beat around the bush for a while, before eventually asking for your support at the very end.
This isn’t going to be one of those emails. Instead, I’ll be as direct as possible: I’m asking you to split a donation between my campaign and Nellie Pou before Kansas Republicans try to gerrymander me out of office today.
I’m sorry to be so blunt, but with so much at stake here in Kansas, this really isn’t a moment that calls for subtlety.
But if you’re on the fence, or you just need a little more information before giving (which I totally understand!), here are two good reasons I hope will make a difference:
Trump’s gerrymander is settled nearly everywhere else… except Kansas. We’re the final holdout, friend. And that means we have Donald Trump’s full attention. But if this team steps up, chips in, and helps me take down Trump’s gerrymander today? It’ll send him a message even he can’t ignore.
I’m no ordinary Congresswoman. If you think Congress is full of too many out-of-touch, cookie-cutter politicians… I’m right there with you. My background on the other hand? It stands out. I’m a former MMA fighter, an LGBTQ+ Native American woman, and a first-generation college graduate. And friend, I’ve brought those perspectives to everything I do in Washington.
Please, if any of those reasons convince you, will you rush a split donation before it’s too late? We can’t give extreme Republicans any momentum ahead of this gerrymandering fight today.
