John,
Last week, Democrats introduced legislation to make it easier to form a union in Colorado.
Did you know it takes two elections, with the second election requiring a 75% threshold, to form a union in Colorado? This is a law unique to our state.
In response, Democrats announced that they'll be introducing the Worker Protection Act when the legislature gavels back into session. This bill will level the playing field for workers by removing these arbitrary hurdles to forming a union.
A union is about dignity: good pay, safe workplaces, and a retirement you can count on. At a time when things are more expensive than ever, it's time to make Colorado not just the best place to start and run a business, but also to be a worker.
This legislation is already being fought by big-moneyed special interests, including the Chamber of Commerce.
If you support the Worker Protection Act, help us elect more pro-Labor Democrats across the ballot by rushing a contribution to CDP today. We have to win, protect, and grow our majorities in the halls of city councils, school boards, county commissions, and of course the legislature and Congress. We intend to make sure Democrats never waver in our commitment to Labor.
