Dear John,
Happy New Year — and welcome to a milestone moment for CPRE. In 2026, we’re marking 100 years of standing up for the countryside, together.
We’re beginning the year with a Letter to England — a message about what’s at stake for the countryside we love, and the future we want to shape together. And we would love for you to sign it.
Stand up for our countryside ([link removed])
The countryside is at a crossroads. Climate change, nature loss and decisions that risk destroying landscapes and our most precious farmland, are putting growing pressure on the land that sustains us all. Something needs to change. The choices we make now will shape the countryside we pass on to future generations.
For a century, when the countryside has needed a voice, we have stepped forward – from the creation of Green Belts and National Parks to planting and restoring miles of hedgerows, championing rooftop solar and protecting the places people cherish. Today, that same spirit is needed again.

By signing our letter, you’ll stand alongside thousands of others who believe in a future where people and nature thrive together. Add your voice today — because together, we can help create a beautiful, resilient countryside.
