New year; new investigation. And this one will break your heart.

In September and October, 2025, our investigator documented the hidden reality at six "family-run" raw milk dairy farms ([link removed]) across upstate New York. The pastoral image these farms present to the public is nothing more than humane washing.

Behind the carefully curated tours and piped-in happy music, we found cows chained so tightly they couldn't turn around. Animals with open wounds and painful infections still being milked. Calves crying as they were separated from their mothers within hours of birth. All while these products are promoted as healthy by figures like Health Secretary RFK Jr. and soccer star Erling Haaland.

The truth is clear: There is no humane way to produce dairy.

Our "Unpasteurized" investigation reveals that the cruelty we've exposed at industrial-scale operations happens just as systematically at small, family-run farms. The same painful practices—tail docking, horn burning, castration, electric shock devices—are standard across the industry, regardless of the size of a facility.

The same bacteria that raw milk advocates praise as beneficial to health are what food safety experts warn make raw milk dangerous to consume.
