The Trump administration and ICE have made it abundantly clear, they don’t want a full and transparent investigation into the fatal shooting of an American citizen in the suburbs of Minneapolis.

Average Americans across the country are living in fear over masked ICE agents marching through their communities and detaining their neighbors, with no transparency from the federal government. Now a mother of three children is dead and the Trump administration refuses to cooperate with local law enforcement agencies.

Friend, this is not how a healthy democracy is run. We don’t have a secret police that’s free to act outside of the law without constitutional guardrails. Country First is calling on Congress to do its job and open an immediate and public investigation into the ICE shooting.
