Let me be clear from the start, John. I have the experience to lead Virginia.

Since my campaign kicked off, right-wing activists have launched attacks in anonymous editorials saying that I, along with other women running for higher office, do not have the experience it takes to lead and we are “letting ambition take charge.”

Experience and ambition only seem to come into question when women, particularly women of color, run for higher office.

Our current president had no elected experience beforehand, and we don’t see the right-wing op-eds about his inability to lead us through a deadly pandemic or his lack of experience.
