Patriot,
I need to share with you two stories no parent should EVER have to live through:
Sarah Goble brought her two-month-old son to the hospital after he had been refusing food and had spit up “brick red” on his onesie. It's what any responsible parent would do and has done.
The doctors also found “multiple fractures” after a CT scan... but rather than trying to determine a cause, they accused Sarah of child abuse... and the Department of Children and Families took both her children away.
Matthew and Wilairiat Hernandez went to the hospital at their pediatrician’s recommendation to get a closer look at Emma’s leg, which couldn’t be diagnosed without an X-ray.
They went to the hospital for answers... Instead, they got questioned, and the Department of Children and Families took both their children away.
Children get sick, break bones, and have accidents all the time!
Now imagine if you were baselessly accused of the worst thing you could possibly do to the child you love, and then had them forcibly removed from your home and given to strangers.
Think about the significant trauma this would inflict on your children!
You and I aren’t allowed to just take a stranger's child without first asking questions and doing due diligence. So why is it okay for government agents?
Too often, mandatory reporters default to suspicion, not compassion. This forces the very people who came to them for help into an unjust system that has been erroneously seizing children and splintering families across the country.
I think we can all agree that protecting children is incredibly important, but stealing well loved and cared for children is disgusting!
Respect America is calling attention to this coercive system by sharing their stories.
At Respect America, we use our platform to highlight a particular type of human suffering that is often overlooked, in order to memorably demonstrate the effects of coercion, theft, and violence on human happiness.

Let me be as clear as I can: There is no gray area in these two stories.
In Sarah Goble’s case, a second opinion showed that the “multiple fractures” were just bone growth that the first doctors had read wrong on the X-ray. The DA found no signs of abuse and was not interested in pursuing further.
And in the Hernandez’s case, the judge had heard so much testimony about the strong bond between Matt and his daughter that she couldn’t continue to separate them. They were later found not guilty on all charges.
There was never any abuse. These were normal, responsible, good parents.
They were just trapped in a system that gives financial incentives for doctors, judges, and the Department of Children and Families, in the form of federal money and payouts, to create and prolong cases.
And if it happened to these parents, it could happen to you, or someone you know, too.
Respect America is amplifying the stories that show how coercion and violence always reduce happiness, and inspiring people to seek solutions that increase harmony and prosperity.

P.S. While both of these families got their kids back, it left them both drained: physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially.
It left a trauma that does not go away.
Even more infuriatingly, no one was held accountable. No one apologized. No one vowed to make sure it never happened again to another innocent family. Those involved just shrugged their shoulders as if it was all part of the job.
And until someone brings these stories to the public, nothing will ever change.
We need your help to make sure EVERY American knows what's going on in our own country.
Will you step up and help?
