Authorities in Florida are seeking the public’s help identifying suspects responsible for burning a chicken alive in the middle of an intersection on Friday.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Monday shared images of the suspects’ dark-colored van in the hope that it can be identified. On Dec. 26, the van stopped at the intersection of Avocado Boulevard and 60th Street in The Acreage, where the incident occurred.
“The occupants exited the vehicle, set a chicken on fire, and fled the scene,” the sheriff’s office said. The chicken died “a short distance from the intersection.”
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective C. Kovacs from the Animal Crimes Unit at [email protected], or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
