The 2026 Midterm Year if off to an insane start. Like many of you, I am so looking forward to electing new, fierce Democrats in November. But , we don't have to wait!
We are now 30 days away from the First Special Election of 2026 for a seat in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Republicans have yet to pick their nominee, but our Democratic candidate Luke Kruse has been on the ground working with his neighbors for months to build a fierce campaign!
If you haven't heard us bragging yet, Luke is a 19-year educator and coach, and is running a phenomenal, grassroots campaign to improve rural infrastructure, public schools, foster care, and economic growth.
And we have a HUGE opportunity to shock everyone with a Democratic victory right out of the gate for this New Year!

We had the chance to start working with Luke at the very beginning of his campaign. In additional to all of the tools and trainings we help candidates with, we've helped him raise money, get yard signs and walk cards, recruit volunteers, fill out crowds at events, and we've consistently had staff and OKDEMS officers knocking doors with his team for months!
These are the concrete steps we've taken to help strengthen Luke's campaign, and it's the type of infrastructure we're building with all of our partners around the State . A special thank you to all of our team at the OKDEMS HQ, and especially our District and County Officers who have taken the time to drive out and support Luke's campaign.
In a Special Election like this, our turnout operations and door knocking teams are our best resource. They've proven their worth, just last November we knocked doors and helped boost turnout in a Lawton city-council race that flipped from a Republican!
