John,

I want to share a quick update about legislation I’ll soon introduce in Congress.

After President Trump’s military operation in Venezuela, his administration floated a plan that would have U.S. oil companies rebuild Venezuela’s oil infrastructure -- with American taxpayers potentially reimbursing their investments.

Taxpayer dollars should never be used to pad Big Oil’s profits or bankroll risky foreign oil projects that won’t lower costs here at home.

That’s why I’ll be introducing legislation to block any U.S. taxpayer dollars from being used to rebuild Venezuela’s oil infrastructure or reimburse oil companies for those investments.

Add your name to support my demand that no taxpayer dollars be used to line the pockets of Big Oil in Venezuela.

Just this week, I voted to extend ACA tax credits to protect families from devastating health insurance premium hikes.

The contrast is clear: Democrats are fighting to lower costs for working people, while Trump is entertaining schemes that shift financial risk onto taxpayers so Big Oil can walk away with guaranteed profits.

Taxpayer dollars should help families afford the basics -- not subsidize corporate giveaways overseas.

If you agree that American taxpayers shouldn’t be on the hook for Big Oil’s profits, add your name today: [link removed]

Thank you,

Mike
