Hi JOhn,
I wanted to share with you the results of the 2026 issue survey we shared with our top supporters on Monday.
First, we want to thank everyone for taking the time to respond – we really do appreciate your response, and we did read every one!
We also wanted to share some of the results:
Our top issue with 129 submissions was “Immigration and ICE.” This is notable also because we shared this survey two days before the tragic shooting that took the life of Renee Nicole Good.
This shows that our community has already been thinking about immigration and the lack of transparency about the operations of ICE and CBP. Thankfully, Suhas has been on the cutting edge of this issue – he introduced the WATCH ICE Act last summer that would require much more transparency about operations.
Nearly tied with immigration was healthcare, with 124 submissions.
Suhas is proud to have voted to extend the ACA subsidies earlier this week, but we know that this vote should have happened months ago.
Our system is failing, and fast, and we need leaders like Suhas who are ready to act. We’ll be sharing more updates about the subsidies and the work Suhas and House Democrats are doing to ensure everyone can afford to see the doctor and keep their families healthy.
Finally, our third and fourth top issues with 111 and 110 submissions respectively, were Accountability and the Environment.
Suhas currently sits on the powerful House Oversight Committee and works to hold this administration and anyone who feels they are above the law to account. From releasing the Epstein files, pushing for fewer redactions, and investigating corruption, Suhas is doggedly pursuing justice.
