Friend— Campaigning these days is far from normal and behind the scenes, my campaign manager, Amy, has kept our campaign going strong.
Today is Amy’s 31st birthday and I’m hoping you’ll help us celebrate by making a $31 contribution to Team SJ in Amy’s honor.

Amy and I were both born in San Diego and actually lived only a mile apart as toddlers -- but we didn’t meet until we were in our 20s and both working in Brooklyn. I was walking through our office one day and spotted a Padres pennant over Amy’s desk -- an unexpected but welcome sight so far from home. She and I struck up a conversation about our shared love of the Padres (happy Opening Day!) and the rest is history.
When I decided to run for Congress, I called Amy and asked her to join my team. She and I both believe in doing politics differently -- in rising above “politics as usual” and giving people a reason to feel hopeful again. Through thick and thin, it’s always nice to know your team shares your values and has your back -- and I’ve always known that about Amy.
With only 73 days until early voting starts, Amy is refusing to take any time off to celebrate (except to watch the Padres game tonight). A big part of Amy’s job is making sure we have the resources we need to run a good campaign. She has been working day and night to balance our budget and manage our team, and I know it’d be a weight off her shoulders if our incredible supporters pitched in today.
If you can, please help us celebrate Amy and thank her for all that she does by chipping in $31 today!
Your support makes this campaign possible and we’re so grateful.
Thank you!
Sara
