Dear John,
Last Chance for Animals (LCA) is aiming to force the South Korean government to take steps to ban the dog meat trade! Here's what you can do to help:
1. SIGN THE PETITION at change.org/stopdogmeat. The goal is 1 million signatures! If we meet this target, there is a much better chance of getting our voices heard.
2. SHARE THE PETITION. This only works if everyone uses their platform to push for change. If you know people with larger platforms, let them know.
3. IF YOU LIVE IN S. KOREA, OR IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO LIVES IN S. KOREA, REACH OUT TO YOUR ASSEMBLY MEMBER and let them know this issue is important to you.
Every year, 1 million dogs are born and raised for food in S. Korea. In deplorable and painful conditions, they are transported to live animal markets, illegal auctions and slaughterhouses, only to be brutally killed. Most of the dogs killed for food in S. Korea are slaughtered in the days leading up to Boknal, the three hottest days of the Korean summer, where dog meat consumption rises. We can put a stop to this horrific cruelty, but we need everyone's help!
