This weekend is Charles’ 49th birthday. We’ve given him 24 hours off to celebrate with his family, so he doesn’t know we’ve taken over his email account.
As his campaign treasurer, I couldn’t be prouder to see this campaign launch for his re-election as our Ward 6 Councilmember, and I’m asking you to join us as a birthday present for Charles. And just for fun, here's a photo of Charles as a kid.
Whether he’s pushing to deliver modernized neighborhood schools or rebuilding Rumsey pool, standing up for the District against the threats from Congress and this administration, or leading our city in the fight to lower utility bills, make housing more affordable, and help working families call DC home – I know we can count on him.
So, as campaign treasurer, I have one ask for Charles’ birthday: Can you make a financial contribution by the end of this weekend? Our campaign is built on low-dollar donations from neighbors, not dark money PACs or big business. That means you will be a maxed-out donor if you contribute $50 today – $49 for Charles’ 49th birthday, plus $1 for good luck. But any amount will help us run the campaign we need to win.
