John, Let’s stop pretending this redistricting lawsuit is something it’s not. This is not a civil rights case. This is not about protecting voters. This is a political do-over dressed up as a lawsuit.
Democrats are asking a judge to intervene and rescue them from voters who have refused to cooperate.Instead of changing their message or earning support, they want the map changed until the math works for them.
That is not justice. That is a scam.
They are flooding the court with leftist paid experts and manufactured academic theories to obscure a very simple truth. They want judges to do what they could not do fairly. Win elections.
If this tactic works, it becomes the blueprint statewide. Courts replace campaigns. Lawsuits replace voters. And Republican victories become temporary inconveniences instead of final results.
Republicans are pushing back because if we do not draw a hard line here, there will be no end to it.
This fight costs real money. Democrats know that. They are counting on Republicans blinking.
