Hello, True Texans!

Our first meetings of the year happened this week, and we're off to a great start!  Make sure you get to one of the remaining ones near you this week.  There's a schedule at the end of this email.  I'm also really looking forward to seeing everyone at our conference in two weeksLess than 40 seats left, so get one right away.  It's Jan 24 in The Woodlands. Don't come to me later and whine about it being sold out! I'm telling you now -- get your tickets!

RETURN TO SENDER
This past week we marked the anniversary of January 6.  True Texas Project has had multiple J6 speakers make the rounds to talk about the horrors experienced at the hands of the government. One of those speakers is Daniel Morrissey.  He was offered a pardon by President Trump...  but he refused it.  Why?  Read his article titled "Please, God, Use Any Fool But Me" here, and do the one simple request he makes on his behalf. (psst... Dan will be speaking at TTP in Granbury on Thursday this week!)

ENGAGING THE ARMY
It's almost time for our TTP DAY OF ACTION! On Feb 7, True Texans across the state will work together to distribute our slate of recommended candidates in their area.  We'll partner with a local candidate and spend a few hours knocking doors, distributing literature, making calls, stuffing envelopes, and/or whatever else is needed.  Mark your calendar now!  As we build our list of locations, it will be added to our website here.

2026 State GOP Convention
Make plans now to be at the Texas State GOP Convention in Houston on Jun 12-13! County GOP offices are being given funds by Abbott to help young Republicans and senior Republicans afford to attend, so don't let expenses hold you back.  We need grassroots activists present and engaged to protect the conservative platform we hold so dear and hold any shenanigans at bay.  Set some money aside for this, and be thinking about who you can carpool with or share a room with.  Also, get the precursory conventions on your calendar.  No excuses!  To attend State Convention, you must first attend your precinct convention.  These are held at your polling location as soon as the polls close, or sometimes a day or two afterwards.  This is where you'll get your name on the list to attend your Senatorial Convention.  The Senatorial Conventions happen a few weeks later, usually on a Saturday.  That's where you get on the list for the State Convention.  It's all a process, and if it seems confusing, no worries!  Just watch this video we made for you a few years back with then-Chairman Matt Rinaldi.

Part of the convention process includes passing strong resolutions to protect our interests and influence legislators.  Here's one proposed regarding Sharia Law in Texas that will probably interest you!  There are steps provided on how you can start now to help.
