Hi friends,
I love the first few weeks of January. There’s something special about the new planner pages, the chill in the Michigan air, and the sense of possibility that comes with a fresh start.
And this year? This year feels especially big.
2026 isn’t just any year; it’s an election year. For me, it’s the year I’ll be giving this campaign everything I’ve got to win a U.S. Senate seat for the working people of Michigan.
My resolutions are definitely a little different this year. But they still come from the same place they always do: gratitude, grit, and a deep love for the state that raised me.
So here they are – my unofficial 2026 New Year’s resolutions:
🗳️ Talk to as many Michiganders as possible.
At small businesses, town halls, factories, union halls – wherever people are gathering, I want to be there. Listening, learning, and leading.
📣 Fight like heck to build our grassroots movement.
This race is going to be close. But I believe in our message, I believe in this team, and I believe that when we stand together, we win. Michigan is one of the most likely seats to flip in the country, but we’re going to keep it blue.
♥️ Keep showing up for working families.
Whether it’s taking on Trump’s reckless tariffs, defending health care, or fighting for better jobs and better wages – this campaign isn’t about me. It’s about the people who keep this state running. I’ve got your back. Always.
🌲 Get in some hikes when I can.
Campaign cardio is real, but I’d love a few peaceful moments in the woods – especially in the UP. Michigan’s hiking trails are legendary, and I feel so peaceful out on the trail.
🧘♂️ Do some yoga with Dad.
He does it almost every day, and I’m determined to join him when I can. Nothing beats a good stretch and a laugh with Dad to start the day.
⚾ Make it to at least one Tigers game this spring.
Campaign life is nonstop, and I love it. But I’m putting this one in the calendar and protecting it. Eat ’em up, Tigers!
2026 is going to be a big year. A hard year. An exciting year. The kind of year where everything feels possible, because it is.
I know the road ahead won’t be easy, but I also know I’m not walking it alone. You’re here. And that means everything.
So here’s to 2026: to joy, to resilience, to community, and to fighting like hell for the state we love. Let’s do this, together.
With grit and gratitude,
Haley
A personal note from Haley 👋
I’m a lifelong Michigander and the daughter of small-business owners. I’ve spent my career fighting for Michigan’s working families – and now I’m running for the U.S. Senate to keep standing up for the people I love.
But here’s the truth: Senate control could come down to Michigan. And Trump and his megadonors know it. That’s why they’re gearing up to spend tens of millions to defeat me and hand this seat to a MAGA Republican.
I need your help to fight back. This race will be one of the most competitive – and expensive – in the country, and I’m counting on grassroots support to win.
If you’re with me, will you chip in today?
Paid for by Haley Stevens for Senate.
