On top of violent ICE raids, the threat of another foreign war, and an out of control cost of living crisis, politicians in Washington continue to make life hard for us here in the Valley.

After letting Affordable Care Act tax credits expire and premiums spike, House Republicans finally caved to public pressure and voted to restore them. David Valadao went along, but only after months of needless uncertainty and stress for tens of millions of us who didn’t know if our family could see a doctor without going bankrupt.

Health insurance costs shot up, and Valadao stayed silent. He voted to gut Medicaid even though nearly 70% of our district relies on Medi-Cal. And now he wants credit for papering over a problem he created.

A lot of us feel overwhelmed right now. But yesterday's vote proves that we have power when we work together.
