John,
You know AIPAC, but another Israel lobby group spending in our elections to buy seats in Congress is the Democratic Majority For Israel (DMFI).
Formed in 2019 in response to Democratic voters’ declining support for the Israeli government, DMFI opposed Bernie Sanders in the 2020 presidential primary and ran ads attacking former Squad members Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman in 2024 because they supported Palestinian human rights and a ceasefire in Gaza.
But don’t be mistaken. DMFI is AIPAC with another name – they’ve shared board members, office space, and are another desperate attempt for AIPAC to cling to power in the Democratic Party as they lose influence every day.
Now, they dropped their first endorsements for this year’s midterms, including Wesley Bell (who unseated Cori) in MO-01, Steve Cohen in TN-09, and Shri Thanedar in MN-13.
All three of these incumbents are Do-Nothing Democrats who are being challenged by progressive, working-class candidates we’ve endorsed: Cori Bush, Justin J. Pearson, and Donavan McKinney.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
