John,

Last week, the tax credits that made health care more affordable for millions of Americans officially expired.

It's easy to see this headline on the news and not think twice about it, but we want to explain what that really means. For over 20 million people, the cost of their health insurance is rising by 114%. For the average working family, this means an increase in their insurance costs of nearly $3,000 a year. When every penny counts and you're dealing with chronic illnesses, flu seasons, a stomach virus going around your kids' school, a number like this is catastrophic.

Chris knows that every day that goes by without a solution from Congress is a day someone in this country suffers. That's why, since before last year's shutdown, he's been working around the clock to find a solution, but the GOP has made no movement to fix the situation.

President Trump and Republicans have not been willing to negotiate a real solution with Democrats. This is unacceptable.

Add your name to join Chris and call on the Senate GOP to put aside partisanship and work for a solution to the devastating hikes in health insurance >> [link removed]

Thank you,
