Donald Trump threatened to veto the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) because it includes language to rename Confederate military bases.

But the NDAA also lays out the entire budget for the military -- so if Trump vetoes it, he'll be blocking countless members of our military from getting the pay raises they've earned.

Confederate soldiers tried to tear apart our country in order to continue the inhumane practice of enslaving, killing and selling Black Americans.

But Donald Trump is so committed to pandering to his base that he's willing to hurt servicemembers and military families in order to do it. It's disgraceful.
