South Asia
We praise God for a groundbreaking rescue in Bangladesh—the first IJM-supported operation since launching our program to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC). Six minor girls and six women were brought to safety, and six suspects were arrested thanks to the courage of police, survivor leaders and partners. Please pray for the survivors as they begin healing and for continued momentum to protect millions of girls from exploitation across the country.
Africa & Europe
Praise God for IJM’s partnership with the Ghana Journalists Association to train 33 journalists on child trafficking reporting and trauma-informed journalism. We thank God that every invited journalist attended and fully participated, making this our largest media capacity-building event in two years. Please pray that the skills and knowledge gained will help protect survivors and strengthen efforts to end child trafficking in Ghana.
Latin America
Praise God for IJM Peru’s successful collaboration with the judiciary to host the National Judicial Facilitators Meeting. We are grateful for the participation of more than 30 facilitators in IJM-led sessions and over 150 in judiciary-hosted discussions, including the President of the Judiciary. Please pray that the tools and trauma-informed approaches shared will strengthen child protection and improve justice for survivors across Peru.
Asia Pacific
Praise God for the rescue of 11 children during three simultaneous operations in the Philippines, led by the Philippine National Police with support from IJM and the Australian Federal Police. We celebrate the courage and coordination that brought these children to safety and ensured the arrest of three suspects. Please pray for healing for the children now living in freedom and for continued protection as they begin their journey toward restoration.
